Real Developer = Complex Individual
Some words I have been collecting over a long period:
- Because software developers must deal with complex problems, they are generally very intelligent and complex individuals, which also complicates the management formula. Add the fact that developers trying to hit a moving target -user requirements- and you get a volatile mixture of management issues.
- Developers should design each tool in such a way that an intelligent but nonexpert user will succeed.
- Most of us joined the industry because we liked doing things. We get pleasure from the act of creation and from activities that surround the creation process.
- Surveys have shown that developers are less motivated by salary and position than they are by more challenging projects and better tools.
I don't think these reflect the case here in jordan, maybe in some parallel universe :-)
