CeBit

I'm giving CeBit (Turkey) a visit next Wed. (I'll stay till monday)
I'm going alone.
Hope to meet someone I know. I'll try to get myself busy with the technology around there. But still ALONE.
I'm saving this month's "Computer","Spectrum","Oracle","Profit" magazines for the plane.
I was thinking of getting a tablet PC, wish I'll find one that I can afford.

Changing the world around me

Setting standards, in an environment where stability is a relative matter, reveals an unstandard way of thinking. NADER

I'm trying to change the world around me, am I unreasonable ??

Greg Bernard Shaw said:
"Reasonable men adapt themselves to the world
Unreasonable men adapt the world for themselves
That's why all progress depends on Unreasonable men"

Love makes everything

I would take the stars out of the skies only for you, I would stop the rain from falling if you asked me to, I would move a mountain when your hand is in my hand, words cannot express how you mean to me,and I think there must be some other way to make you see or feel my love to you.

Center of the Universe

I'm one of those who would write down the following as an introduction for their life story:

"Einstein's theory of relativity states that motion is relative. Postulating on that, I came to the conclusion that world revolves around me."

512 ADSL at last

we finally got the 512 ADSL line at work(yesterday) and guess what, My PC will be the only connected PC for 2 weeks because of issues concerning setting the server.

I now get pure 400 speed.

I wish I have one home too. Maybe next year.
It is just so great. The sky is no longer the limit.

Busy living

Never thought my first post would be at 3:00 am but that is just better than reading a "computer arithmetic systems" book.
I am taking this arithmetic course as a part of my master degree at the university. We had to choose some specific subject in this field to work on as a project and to handle the work at the end of the semester(That was yesterday).

In previous courses, projects and papers were a must and I really worked hard on some of these papers and i did a great job, but no one ever gave a damn shit.

This time I really had no idea what to do, I could've copied and pasted parts from already published papers on the internet. But I knew that the other studednts must have copied them all.

I kept postponing the work till one day before the deadline and guess what I got an idea.
I have read about Quantum Computing couple of years ago,so, why do no I write about quantum arithmetic.

I woke up early the next morning to do the work since I only got about 5 hours before I go to the lecture for handling and discussion.

I searched the internet and found that is was PURE PHYSICS.
Any way I started writing nice abstract, introduction and started listing the basics. It was really great. QUBITS instead of bits, electrons spinning direction instead of electrical current , several simaltaneous states at the same time for the same electron, superpositioning , bla, bla, bla.

It was nice to know the parallel universes are not science fiction after all.

I ended the discussion by listing a case-study for some algorithm.

The work was seven pages long and I'm already 15 minutes late and need at least 15 minutes to reach univ.

life went on.........and I reached university and entered late to class.
The proffessor was discussing the projects with the studedents and he was really happy about their work, one missing the table of contents (I didn't have one), big pictures, missing year for the references and "Totally copied" projects.

I was the last one to be asked. I thought I'll get the worst discussion ever but guess what. I didn't.
The proff. was astonished...and I was too......to be continued
